What is the split at eXp Realty?

Every agent at eXp Realty has a split of 80/20 until the cap is met.

Is there a commission cap?

Yes, agents at eXp Realty reach their commission cap after contributing $16,000 to the company. That means once you’ve earned around $80,000 or more in gross commission income (GCI), you’ll hit your cap—and from that point on, you keep 100% of your commission for the rest of your anniversary year. For teams, reduced caps are also available based on structure and performance.

Do you have to pay multiple fees if you are licensed in several states?

No! Just $85 per month to our national brokerage

Are there any fees for Expansion teams?

Nope. Nada.

Do agents pay E&O insurance?

Yes, it’s just $60 per transaction with a max of $750 annually.

How much are the royalty or franchise fees?

Zip. Zero. We are a nationally owned brokerage, so there are no franchises. This should save many agents thousands of dollars each year.

Where is eXpi stock traded?

Canzell Realty VIP is a privately held company and is not publicly traded on the stock market. (ticker symbol: EXPI)

How can I buy eXpi Stock?

eXp Realty does not offer a stock purchase program, as we are a privately held company. However, if you're personally interested in investing in the stock market, you can open a brokerage account through platforms like TD Ameritrade, E*Trade, or others. It's a good idea to ask friends, family, or financial advisors for recommendations to find the option that best suits your needs.

What kind of stock awards can agents receive at eXp Realty?

At eXp Realty, we reward performance and growth differently. While we do not offer stock awards, our focus is on providing competitive compensation, robust support, and meaningful opportunities for our agents to grow their business. We believe in reinvesting directly into tools, training, and resources that help you succeed—because when you win, we all win.

When can I cash out on my eXpi stock awards?

Most of the stock awards agents receive are vested after two (2) or three (3) years. So if you received a stock award for hitting your commission cap in January of 2024, you could cash it out (or move to your personal brokerage account) in 2027.

Our agents can join live sessions from anywhere using their phone or computer—making it easy to stay connected, sharpen their skills, and collaborate with top professionals across our network.

Do you have in-person meetings?

Absolutely! Each region within eXp Realty hosts regular in-person meetups, training sessions, CE classes, and 'lunch and learn' events to keep agents engaged and informed. If you ever need a physical space for meetings or training, we've partnered with select office providers to ensure you have access to professional, well-equipped environments when needed—often at no cost or at a discounted rate.

Who is the broker at eXp Realty?

Can I pick my mentor?

All eXp Realty mentors are carefully selected and go through a thorough approval process to ensure they’re fully prepared to support new agents. Once you join, your broker will match you with a local mentor who understands your market and can guide you through your early transactions. If you already have a trusted mentor within your area who’s part of our certified program, just let your broker know—we’ll do our best to accommodate the match, as long as the mentor has the capacity to take on a new agent.

What is Revenue Share?

At eXp Realty, we operate with a lean, efficient model—allowing us to reinvest directly into our agents. Instead of heavy overhead costs, we focus on rewarding those who contribute to our growth. Agents who help expand our network and support our mission have the opportunity to benefit from generous incentive programs built around collaboration and shared success.

How much revenue share can agents earn?

At eXp Realty, we believe in rewarding agents who help grow our community. When you personally refer a real estate agent who joins our team, you can earn referral incentives based on their performance. And if that agent goes on to bring others into the company, you’ll also benefit from a percentage of production within your extended network. It’s a way for us to grow together—and succeed together.

Do I have to recruit agents?

No, it’s completely up to you!

How is eXp revenue share calculated?

At eXp Realty, agents who refer others to the company have the opportunity to earn a percentage of the gross commission generated by those they introduce, as well as agents within their extended referral network—up to seven levels deep. For example, if an agent you referred sells a $500,000 home and earns a $15,000 commission, you could receive 3.5% of that amount—equating to $525. It’s our way of recognizing and rewarding those who help grow the Canzell community.

How much revenue share can we earn?

When you personally introduce a real estate agent to eXp Realty VIP, you have the opportunity to earn ongoing referral income based on their production. Our revenue-sharing model extends up to seven levels deep, allowing you to earn between 0.2% and 5% of the commissions generated by agents in your network. Best of all, there’s no cap—your earning potential grows as your network expands.

When do you receive revenue share?

Revenue share payouts are processed monthly at eXp Realty. For example, if the agents in your referral network generated $50,000 in gross commission during January, and your share is 3.5%, you would receive approximately $1,750. That payment would be deposited directly into your account on February 22. It’s a consistent and transparent system designed to reward your contribution to the company’s growth.

How can you track your earnings?

eXp Realty offers a powerful platform that gives you a real-time snapshot of your earnings. Through this system, you can easily track your sales performance, stock awards, and upcoming revenue share. Many of our agents check in regularly to stay updated on their growth and get a clear picture of what to expect on the 22nd of each month.

Are there really no brick and mortar offices?

While we maintain a corporate headquarters and a few physical offices in states that require them, most eXp Realty agents and brokers work remotely — from home offices, shared workspaces, or Regus coworking centers. This lean, flexible model significantly reduces overhead costs, allowing us to pass those savings back to our agents through lower fees and a competitive revenue sharing program.

What if I need a physical office or meeting room on occasion?

eXp Realty has you covered. Every agent receives a complimentary membership to Regus Business Lounges — professional co-working spaces where you can work between appointments or book a conference room to meet with clients. With over 3,000 Regus locations across the U.S., chances are there’s one conveniently located near you.

How do a pick my sponsor at Canzell?

Your sponsor is the person who played the biggest role in your decision to join eXp Realty. If you spoke with several people before making your choice, your sponsor should be the one who ultimately helped you say yes. Ideally, this person will also be someone who can support you as you get familiar with our tools, technology, and systems — and help guide your business growth, no matter where they’re located.

If I’m returning to eXp, can a pick another sponsor?

If you decide to leave eXp Realty and are away for at least six months, you’ll have the option to choose a new sponsor if you return.

If I need help with something, who do I call?

At eXp Realty, we’ve built a support system that ensures you’re never on your own. Your broker, sponsor, or mentor can help with most questions — but you also have access to our virtual office, where you can connect directly with departments like accounting, tech support, and more. It’s open 10 to 12 hours a day, making it easy to get help when you need it.

In addition, our internal platform allows you to chat directly with your brokers, transaction coordinators, accounting, stock services, and other key teams. And if you need contract or legal support on the weekend, most states have a broker on call — just a phone call or email away.
